This is very interesting Susan. I ran off my chart using the whole sign method you mentioned which I found challenging because i've used Placidus for 30 years and this changes the whole planetary house positions and therefore, obviously, their interpretation.
Some of the positions could fit, but others immediately seemed out of sync with me and my life but it was an interesting exercise, so thank you for your thoughts.
N.b. May I ask what you meant when you said that the quadrant houses break down at the poles?

May I ask what you meant when you said that the quadrant houses break down at the poles? Absolutely, what I mean is that the quadrant system uses the Midheaven as the cusp of the 10th house, and the Ascendant the cusp of the 1st house. Since the Midheaven is the highest point in the sky the Sun will travel on a given day (the date of birth of an event or person), the closer to the poles you are will put the Midheaven in a location that cannot create houses. Near the poles, the Sun sometimes only just skims across the horizon never elevating in the sky. If the Sun never gets very far from the horizon, then the 10th cusp is right on top of the 1st house, and all houses will breakdown. When the Sun doesn't rise at all, as it does during their 6 months of darkness, you cannot even create a chart.

Hello everybody, I am a new member and i just wanted to introduce myself as well. I am very excited to find this group. I have been interested in astrology for years, but finally now is the time for me to study it deeper. Thank you Susan for creating this group. So, my Sun is in Cancer, my Ascendant is in Leo and my Moon is in Gemini. Cancer makes me an emotional person (over emotional sometimes ) with a need of stability and a base that i can call home and be my safe environment. A kind of happy home, happy life thing. Leo gives me a sense of pride that sometimes i could do without it. On the other hand makes me a very generous person and has given me the courage to skip many obstacles in life. I think Moon in Gemini is both a positive and a negative aspect. Positive because i was never hesitant of doing and experiencing new things in life, without hesitation. It pushed me to do things that i may have regretted not doing them. Negative, because i get bored really easy. It took me half of my life to learn to control the tendency of my mind to wander around. Thanks again!

Thanks again! Welcome Yota! What a beautiful delineation of your Sun, Moon, and Ascendant! I am very happy to have you in our group. It seems it should be able to satisfy your Sun, as we are building a family. Your Moon should enjoy the bite-sized pieces of information we discuss and chew on, so boredom shouldn't be a problem. And your Ascendant can express itself openly, warmly, and truly as we are building trust and friendships here. Please feel free to share your insights, thoughts, questions. I look forward to meeting you soon! Sincerely, Susan Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

May I ask what you meant when you said that the quadrant houses break down at the poles? I realize I should have added that when you have been working with a particular house system for a very long time, as you have with Placidus, trying to "see" what is in a new house system (whole sign) is disorienting and somewhat easy to disregard. However, what you may find is that certain qualities which you strongly relate to in the familiar system, such as Placidus, as reiterated using another placement in the whole sign system. For example, something could be prominent by an aspect and house position in one system which becomes prominent because of rulership in another. Play around with it, and never throw away any information that has been valuable to you. Astrology is a system with unending learning opportunities. No system, technique, or method has all the answers. I hope you are doing well! Sincerely, Susan
